Native American Studies for Everyone - Online Course - Feb. 10 to Apr. 14 In-Person
Do you want to know more about Indigenous nations in Montana and the United States? This course, from Feburary 10 to April 14, will help participants develop their understanding of American Indian history, culture, policy, and contemporary issues in Indian Country. It was created and is led by Anna East of Chickadee Community Services.
This is a remote, asynchronous course, so you will be able to read, view, and complete the class materials online as they are released, following the syllabus. That means there are no class times to worry about. There may be a few live webinars, but these will be recorded if you can't attend. Upon registration, there is also an option to sign up to participate in email discussions with other participants.
The Montana Historical Society is sponsoring registration for a limited number of our community members. If you click "Begin Registration" on our event page and fill in your information, you will receive an email with a code that will allow you to register for free at the official course website. Please note that registering on the MTHS page DOES NOT mean that you are registered for the course. Once you receive the code, you will need to use it to officially register via Chickadee Community Services. We will include instructions in the email with the code.
You can view the syllabus and further information at Spring 25 NASfE Course | Chickadee Community.
