China Row Walking Tour at Forestvale Cemetery In-Person
Join us for a walking tour with Mark Johnson illuminating the history of the Chinese population in Montana as evidenced at the Forestvale Cemetery in Helena. From the earliest days of non-Native settlement of Montana, Chinese immigrants made up a key sector of the territory's population and played a vital role in the region’s development. However, this group remains underrepresented in historical accounts. This tour will highlight the often unseen stories of the Chinese in Montana.
